Technology Ecosystems Analysis
We analyze the business landscape for new technologies in both digitalization and electrification of mining. Our approach involves mapping the ecosystem of OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), suppliers, software vendors, service providers and technology end-users. By identifying and tracking the relationships between stakeholders, we can assess the dominant and emerging business models in the ecosystem, and monitor how they evolve over time.
We use a combination of mining sector taxonomy development and product data modeling to categorize and map complex technology ecosystems. From the data collected, and analysis of companies’ strategic objectives, we identify the trends and opportunities for new technologies in the mining ecosystem.

BEV Integration Research
Battery electric vehicles are gaining momentum in the mining industry. For underground mining, many companies are starting to move beyond the early trial and pilot phase and are looking at electrification of major segments of their fleets.
We work with mining companies who are at various stages of the journey towards BEV adoption, from early stage technology assessments to total cost of ownership studies for growing fleets. Our team use a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to assess strategies for change management and technology development.
